Benzino Breaks Down In Tears As He Talks About His Long-Standing Eminem Feud & Relationship w/ Daughter Coi Leray: ‘You Think This Sh*t Is Cool?’
Benzino held nothing back, including his tears, in a recent interview on the Drink Champs podcast.

During the podcast, which aired in full on Saturday (Feb. 17), the ‘Love and Hip Hop: Atlanta‘ alum and co-founder of The Source magazine talked about various topics, including his decades-long feud with rapper Eminem.
Regarding their beef, Benzino, born Raymond Scott, told Drink Champs hosts N.O.R.E. and D.J. EFN that he doesn’t have a problem with the ‘Without. Me’ rapper.
He said,
“Eminem ain’t no bad person. He belongs in Hip Hop. There’s a big racist problem in America right now and Eminem could probably stop half of it.”
Benzino continued,
“I don’t hate Eminem because I don’t know him.”
He also mentioned that he has no problem with Eminem being white.
“Hip-Hop brought us together. I don’t hate Eminem because of his color. I don’t hate ya people.”
He later talked about his daughter and rapper Coi Leray, whom Eminem recently dissed along with Benzino in a new song, ‘Doomsday Pt. 2.’
Breaking down in tears, Benzino reiterated he doesn’t hate Eminem but said their beef has affected his relationship with Coi Leray.
He said in part,
“My daughter came to the industry figuring ‘I gotta be cool with Eminem because everybody is against my dad.’ You think this sh*t is cool? We’re failing as a people.”

Benzino also made it clear that despite their challenges, he has love for his daughter.
“I love Coi. How the f*ck could anybody think that I don’t love my daughter? Everybody goes through the same sh*t… It’s just that my s**t is on the internet.”

Before the interview wrapped, Benzino pleaded to the hip-hop community to set their differences aside and unite, noting that he’s willing to make amends with Eminem.

The two have been feuding since 2002 when Eminem’s ‘The Eminem Show’ received a rating of four mics out of five in ‘The Source’ magazine. However, Eminem wasn’t too happy because he thought it deserved a five rating. As a result, he blamed The Source and Benzino, alleging he’d never get a five-mic rating because of his race.

Eminem
The Boston native added fuel to the fire when he dissed Eminem in a 2002 freestyle, ‘Pull Your Skirt Up‘ and took shots at the Detroit rapper with lyrics like,
“The 2003 Vanilla Ice, how you playin it? If you ask me, you really ain’t that nice, you overrated.”

Eminem responded with his own diss tracks like ‘Invasion’, ‘The Sauce’, and the well-known ‘Nail in the Coffin.’ In his music, he poked fun at things like Benzino’s rapping skills, his age, his gangster act, and his business practices.
