Antonio Brown Ordered To Pay Celebrity Jeweler $1 Million After Failing To Return Or Pay For Merchandise

Antonio Brown‘s legal woes continue.

The former NFL star has been ordered to pay $1 million after he failed to respond to a famed jeweler’s lawsuit. Shuki International first sued Antonio Brown last April, alleging that the former NFL star borrowed diamond-studded pieces in 2022 and has yet to pay for them, or give them back.

Shuki claimed in court docs that he provided Antonio Brown with two diamond fingers, which cost $500,000 apiece, along with a rose gold black diamond finger, a white gold chain, and a ring. He said he believed Brown would either pay for the items, or at least return them.

After Brown allegedly did neither, Shuki sued for $1,095,000. A judge awarded Shuki default judgment after Brown failed to respond to the complaint.

Shuki, who said he’s disappointed by the legal matter as him and Brown were once friends, later shared that he tried to contact Brown following the ruling, but the athlete never called him back. Brown was seen sporting one of the infamous diamond fingers as recently as this month.

Before filing the lawsuit, Shuki posted a photo of the gold fingers in question, stating that the original items were

“currently with Antonio Brown”

He originally showed off the fingers in October 2022 and noted that they were

“Million dollars and above or don’t talk to me”

The judgment comes after Brown paid $15,000 in child support in October 2023 after being arrested for non-payment. He owed a total of $31,000 to Wiltrice Jackson – the mother of his 15-year-old daughter, Antanyiah.

Jackson had previously told TMZ she wanted Brown to face consequences for not keeping up his end of the agreement.

“Because, right now, he’s making a mockery out of the judge, out of everything, because he feels like he’s untouchable.”

She said that ultimately, she wants him to be an “involved father”, adding,

“By him having a daughter like an athlete like her, you would think he’d be in her corner to support her.”
