Marlo Hampton Sees Departure From ‘RHOA’ As A ‘Fresh Start,’ Says She Wants To Delve Into New Creative Ventures & Focus On Her Family

Another famous face is leaving the ‘Real Housewives of Atlanta.’

After over a decade, Marlo Hampton announced she would not return to the Bravo series. She shared the news on her Instagram to fans on Saturday, Feb. 24. The fashionista first appeared on ‘RHOA’ in season 4 as a friend of the series but joined full-time, securing her peach, in Season 14.

Revealing her departure, Marlo Hampton wrote,

“Hamptons, My contract with Real Housewives of Atlanta ended when season 15 wrapped. This break from RHOA is a fresh start, allowing me the space to participate in new creative entertainment projects in my future, and not reliving my past.”

Marlo Hampton also cited how her family as part of the reason for her exit. She said, 

“My nephews are transitioning into pivotal stages of their academic adolescence, and I am focused on my representation in their eyes and getting back to showing my multifaceted lifestyle of philanthropy, fashion, and fabulosity.”

She added, 

“I am thankful for this amazing platform of Housewives, which has allowed me to bring awareness to foster care, my non-profit Glam It Up, Inc., and showcase my fashion showroom, Le Archive. I look forward to my continued relationship with Bravo and NBC Universal. I wish Truly Original and the RHOA cast all the best.”

In addition to Marlo, Kandi Burruss, who starred on ‘RHOA’ since Season 2, also announced she’s not returning to the reality TV series earlier this year. 

Meanwhile, Porsha Williams is making her grand return to ‘RHOA’ this upcoming season following her exit from the show in 2021 after nine seasons.

It was initially reported that she would return to the cast under her married name, Porsha Williams Guobadia. However, she filed for divorce from her husband, Simon Guobadia, on Feb. 22, after 15 months of marriage.
