Shannon Sharpe Reveals ‘I Made More Money On Katt Williams Alone Than Any Year I Played In The NFL’ As He Addresses His Haters: ‘Whatever You Think I Made, 3X It’

Shannon Sharpe is unbothered and paid.

The former NFL star clapped back at criticism he’s received over the last few months. During a recent installment of his and Chad Johnson’s Nightcap show, the ex-Cincinnati Bengals player defended Shannon Sharpe against the hate and said that while some are “out here trying to be funny,” they’re actually helping him “go straight to the bank.”

Chad Johnson added,

“So get your laughs on. It ain’t nothing but a blessing coming your way.”

Shannon Sharpe then revealed he just received a check for his sit-down with Katt Williams on his Club Shay Shay podcast (which has 61 million views as of publication), adding,

“So whatever you think I made, 3X it. So if you think I made $500,000, 3X it. If you think I made a million, 3X it. If you think I made $2 million, 3X it.”

He showed off a luxury Rolex that became famous after John Mayer was spotted wearing it and told Chad Johnson he purchased it after getting his check. Giving a nod to the singer and guitarist, Sharpe joked,

“My pocket is a wonderland.”

Since his interview with Katt Williams premiered earlier this year, multiple comedians have come at Shannon, with some alleging he’s gay, which Shannon has also addressed. Most recently, Shannon was clowned online after posting a video of him getting out of the car on the way to an appearance at Total Wines.

Shannon said on Nightcap that his Total Wines partnership is now expanding to multiple states and urged his critics to keep going.

“Don’t y’all hatin’ mofos stop! I’m done with it. I’m gon’ get this paper. I know this gon’ go viral. So whatever y’all think I made, 3X it! I made more money on Katt Williams alone than I made in any year that I played in the NFL.”
