Sometimes when nature calls, you have to stop whatever you’re doing and answer.

Jason Derulo is one of the many stars currently on tour. During a recent show in Leeds, England, the pop star abruptly stopped his performance in the middle of singing “Spicy Margarita” to ask the crowd if they would mind if he went to “the bathroom real quick?”

The audience responded with groans that quickly turned into boos when the performer retreated backstage to relieve himself. He soon returned to the stage and said,

“Alright back to the show!”

A video of the incident was shared to TikTok by a concertgoer. They caption the post,

“Go before the show next time [eye roll emoji]”

However, many fans of Jason Derulo, who seemingly were not at the now-viral concert, took to the comment section to express displeasure about him being booed.

One person wrote,

“I swear people forget that celebrities are human too”

Another TikTok user stated,

“I wouldn’t even ask is it okay if I go to the toilet I’d just go and tell my backing dancers to cover”

Someone else said,

“He’s human ffs he’s gonna need the toilet you can’t help when you need to go and at least he’s been real and if he holds it you can actually get really poorly for it. So he did right.”

However, another person chimed in with the theory Jason Derulo staged the entire thing. They wrote,

“Has to be part of the show cause ain’t no way he stopped mid song. Breaks are usually scheduled in. Plus ain’t no way he run like that foreal”

No word yet on whether the random pause was all a part of a larger plan from the “Whatcha Say” artist. However, he eventually took to X and shared a skit based on the incident. In the footage, he exits the stage to pee in an empty Gatorade bottle. Someone backstage then mistakes the urine for Gatorade and drinks from the bottle. He captioned the post,
