Tiffany Haddish No Longer Drinking Alcohol As She’s Reportedly Trying To Get Pregnant

Tiffany Haddish is reportedly preparing for one of her most important roles to date, being a mom. According to reports, the “Night School” actress attended Elton John’s AIDS Foundation’s 32nd annual Academy Awards Viewing Party in West Hollywood over the weekend, and a few attendees reportedly noticed she wasn’t drinking. Some may think that Tiffany Haddish allegedly skipping out on the booze during the event may have something to do with her DUI arrests. However, the celeb purportedly revealed that her run-ins with the law aren’t why she’s now living the sober life.

When questioned by partygoers about why she’s not drinking, it’s reported by Page Six that Tiffany candidly replied,

“’I am trying to get pregnant.”

An insider from the party also claimed the famed jokester wasn’t kidding around. They shared with the entertainment publication,

“It didn’t feel like [she was joking]. She said it numerous times.”

No word yet if the comedienne has a special someone in her life she’s aiming to co-parent with or if she’s doing everything alone. As previously reported, last month while responding to the backlash she was hit with for visiting Israel amid the Gaza–Israel conflict, an emotional Tiffany expressed,

“I’m here all by myself. Just like I was saying in 2018 when they was asking me about Mo’Nique and her husband and I don’t do my business the way she does business, because I don’t have a husband, I don’t have what she has. I’m all alone.”

She continued,

“That’s what I’m trying to tell y’all. I’m doing this all by myself. I’m not … I don’t have a whole family full of men or a man supporting me. I’m doing it on my own. I’m learning on my own.”

The controversy surrounding her recent trip overseas isn’t the only negative headline Tiffany had to push through lately. As mentioned above, in December 2023 she was charged with her second DUI in less than two years after falling asleep behind the wheel while intoxicated the month prior. Reportedly, she had a .08% BAC at the time of the incident. Following her second DUI, prosecutors from the first case motioned for stricter restrictions to forbid the celeb from drinking alcohol and drugs completely, according to reports.

It’s important to note that a source close to Tiffany spoke on what she allegedly said at Elton John’s event and said despite what bystanders claimed, the comment “was likely a joke.”

However, they added,

“She is serious about her sobriety. She’s kept it, and is very into her health right now. She’s going through her changes and is doing amazing.”
