Former NBA Star Paul Pierce’s Home Reportedly Burglarized, Luxury Watches & Over $100K In Cash Among The Stolen Items
Paul Pierce is reportedly the latest celebrity to fall victim to robbery.
The retired NBA star’s Los Angeles home was burglarized on Friday (March 15). Paul Pierce wasn’t home when thieves ran off with luxury watches, over $100K in cash, and a safe.
According to a report, police have been working to find the stolen items and “combing through video from the scene, hoping to find a critical piece of evidence that’ll crack the case.” The report also noted that no one has been arrested yet.
Celebrities and athletes have, unfortunately, been victims of home burglaries and robberies throughout the years. In 2022, the Fulton County District Attorney’s Office indicted 26 people alleged to have been involved in a series of burglaries at celebrity homes in Atlanta. One of the celebrities was Jacksonville Jaguars wide receiver Calvin Ridley, who played for the Atlanta Falcons at that time.
During a press conference in 2022, Fulton County District Attorney Fanis Willis stated,
“If you thought Fulton was a good county to bring your violence to, you were wrong.”
Other Atlanta homes targeted at the time included Mariah Carey’s and Atlanta United soccer star Brad Guzan.
But hopefully, Paul Pierce’s belongings will be found and returned to him. The NBA Champion is most memorably known for his 15-season career with the Boston Celtics, with whom he won the 2008 NBA Championship and Finals MVP.
In October 2021, Pierce was added to the NBA 75th Anniversary Team. That same year, he was inducted into the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame.
After he retired in 2017 with 19 seasons in the league under his belt, he served as an analyst for ESPN’s “The Jump” and “NBA Countdown” before the network infamously fired him in April 2021.
