Singer Tyla Turns Down Kai Cenat’s Request To Go On A Date: ‘We’re Friends, Though’

If you were somewhat hoping for a #TyKai love affair, think again.

Songstress Tyla recently joined famed broadcaster Kai Cenat for one of his infamous live streams and shook the internet up a little bit!

During the virtual hangout, which lasted nearly three hours, Kai Cenat whipped out a friendly game of ‘Truth or Dare,’ where he ultimately asked if he and Tyla could see what was up off-camera.

The conversation ignited after Tyla read one of the questions from the card deck and dared Kai Cenat to invite the last person in his Instagram DMs out on a date.

However, Cenat’s attempt to prank his friend failed, prompting him to take the audience up on their grand idea for him to ask Tyla instead.

The 22-year-old nervously blurted,

“Tyla, would you like to go on a date with me?”

The “Water” phenomenon replied shyly:

“Are you asking me for real? Don’t do that!”

Cenat then said,

“Yeah. What you mean? Why not? I’m serious. Whenever you get some free time, would you like to go on a date with me?”

Tyla, also 22, seemingly brushed past the influencer’s flirtation, turning it into a comical moment. She expressed,

“You can’t do that!”

After pointing out the fact that they were in front of thousands of viewers, Tyla eventually stopped stalling and added:

“But… we’re friends, though.”

It appears that Cenat then grew slightly embarrassed and awkwardly closed it off with,

“You right. You right. [laughs] Alright, next one.”

Of course, following the uncomfortable interaction, a clip of the two went viral online, with many finding laughter in the fact that Cenat had gotten friend-zoned by Tyla.

So far, no other words have been said from either party. Maybe soon… we’ll get an update if Tyla decides to reconsider.

As for Cenat, he just made headlines for helping a fan find a girlfriend. Clearly, matchmaking isn’t too much of a problem for him.

Well, at least, not when it comes to others.
