Iman Shumpert Reacts To Teyana Taylor’s Met Gala Look Amid Their Divorce: ‘Yeah You Ate… But I Ain’t Telling You That Sh*t’

The stars came out to celebrate another Met Gala and per usual, Teyana Taylor stood out as one of the best dressed. The multi-hyphenate, 33, revealed a new platinum blonde look much to the admiration of onlookers and fans. One on-looker in particular, her estranged husband and former NBA star Iman Shumpert, took to X (formerly Twitter) to acknowledge her red-hot arrival. He wrote soon after the gala’s red carpet began,

“Yeah you ate… but I ain’t telling you that sh*t.”

Teyana Taylor, 33, paid homage to the Costume Institute’s new exhibit: “Sleeping Beauties: Reawakening Fashion,” in which the dress code is “The Garden of Time.” For fashion’s biggest night, Teyana Taylor wore a red velvet rose applique gown from the archives of the fashion brand, The Blonds.

Iman Shumpert was clearly a fan and admitted he spoke out after the exhibit showed “all the wrong fits,” asking “Who looked better?” than his soon-to-be ex-wife.

The indirect post from Iman Shumpert comes on the heels of the NBA veteran and the A Thousand and One actress’s divorce.

Filed in January 2023, Shumpert and Taylor’s divorce surprised most who believed the two were inseparable. Parents to their two daughters, Junie and Rue, the former couple has done their best to keep divorce proceedings under wraps. When news first broke all seemed to be amicable with Taylor captioning on an Instagram post,

“We are still the best of friends, great business partners and are one hell of a team when it comes to co-parenting our 2 beautiful children.”

But recently news about the 10-year relationship started getting exposed. In a recent court filing, Taylor reportedly accused Shumpert of regularly smoking marijuana while he’s with the kids and sometimes being under the influence of alcohol. She also claimed that this leads to Shumpert forgetting to feed the young ones, despite them being in the family home.

It doesn’t look like Taylor has responded to Shumpert’s tweets.
