Gizelle Bryant’s Ex, Atlanta Mega-Pastor Jamal Bryant Announces Engagement To ‘Amazingly Brilliant’ & ‘Amazingly Beautiful’ Woman, Dr. Karri Turner

Jamal Bryant has found a new first lady.

The ex-husband of Gizelle Bryant, and pastor of Atlanta megachurch New Birth Missionary Baptist Church, revealed to his congregation that he is engaged to Dr. Karri Turner. Per her Instagram bio, Karri Turner is the Pastor of Cardiology at the church.

Jamal Bryant, 53, announced the news during a church service on Sunday (May 26), as seen in an Instagram video shared by the happy couple.

In the clip, Jamal Bryant said,

“Sometimes your blessing will be right in front of your eyes and you don’t even know. You don’t even know what God’s got for you… an amazingly beautiful woman, amazingly brilliant woman.”

He added that Karri Turner graduated with her doctorate recently, and he had a moment of realization as she walked across the stage.

“The Lord said to me, ‘You big dummy, what are you waiting on?’ And I am so grateful to God that she has consented to be my wife.”

He then invited Karri Turner to the stage as the audience cheered, telling the congregation,

“I can’t tell you how happy I am, how happy my family is, how happy my children are and I hope my church is happy for me.”

Gizelle Bryant, 53, and Jamal were married from 2002-2009 and share three daughters: Grace, 19, and twins Angel and Adore, 18.

Jamal and Gizelle Bryant attempted to rekindle their relationship in 2019, before calling it quits during the coronavirus pandemic. During their brief second-chance romance,  former Real Housewives of Potomac star Monique Samuels blasted Jamal for allegedly cheating on Gizelle Bryant with a female pastor.

However, Gizelle later denied that the speculation had anything to do with Monique Samuels’ claims. Meanwhile, Gizelle is dating Bravo’s Winter House star Jason Cameron, 37.
