Rihanna Announces Haircare Line Fenty Hair + Fans Question What This Means For Her Highly-Anticipated 9th Studio Album
Superstar songstress Rihanna is expanding her beauty empire!
The singer appeared in a promotional video for her latest business venture Fenty Hair, leading fans to believe they really may never get any new music.

Robyn ‘Rihanna’ Fenty revealed the big news on her social media pages earlier today (Tuesday, June 4th). The “Diamonds” artist sported a short blonde pixie cut in an ad for the forthcoming products, which was posted alongside the caption:
“a new family is moving in! #fentyhair is pullin up and it’s time to finally have the hair experience you’ve been waiting for. you know how much switching my hair up matters to me. I’ve had almost every texture, color, length, from weaves to braids to natural- so I am launching a flexible line of products for not only every hair want, but every single product is designed to strengthen and repair all types of hair, which is what we truly need! It’s time to play and get stronger by the style”
If you’ve been keeping up with Rihanna’s career moves over the past few years, her diversification into haircare likely comes as no surprise. The 36-year-old has already achieved billionaire status, largely due to her wildly successful Fenty beauty line and makeup products, along with her skincare line as well as her clothing/lingerie line Savage x Fenty.

Rihanna also shared in the announcement that products for the line will be released starting June 13th, adding that fans can sign up for the waitlist on her Fenty website. While many congratulated and shared their excitement for the musician, others couldn’t help but mourn their hopes for another album. As you may know, a running joke in the industry has been Rihanna eluding questions about whether or not she’ll release her highly anticipated R9 album, though she’s continued to tease that it’s coming. Her latest project “Anti” was released in 2016.

Reacting to the Fenty Hair announcement, many speculated that new music is likely nowhere on the singer’s radar, though many showed admiration for Rihanna’s ambitious business goals.
