Sexyy Red Denies Rumors She’s Performing At Upcoming Donald Trump Rally Despite Previously Supporting The Former President
Rapper Sexyy Red has denied recent rumors that she will be performing at a Donald Trump rally in Atlanta on August 3.
The speculation was fueled by a tweet from @TheePopFeed, which claimed,
“Sexyy Red is rumored to perform at Donald Trump’s presidential rally this Saturday, August 3rd, in Atlanta, Georgia.”

In response, Sexyy Red took to social media to refute the claim, stating simply,
“Dey fakin dats cap.”

Despite her denial, she has publicly shown support for Donald Trump in the past, particularly highlighting his actions during his presidency that she felt benefited the Black community.

In an interview on Theo Von’s This Past Weekend podcast, she praised Trump for his efforts to free Black people from prison and for distributing stimulus checks. She said,
“I like Trump … they support him in the hood. At first I don’t think people was f****** with him. They thought he was racist, saying little s*** against women. But once he started getting Black people out of jail and giving people that free money. Aww baby, we love Trump. We need him back in office. We need him back because, baby, them checks. Them stimulus checks. Trump, we miss you.”

Sexyy Red’s comments are part of a broader trend among hip-hop artists who have defended or supported Trump despite his controversial presidency.

However, Sexyy Red has clarified her stance, stating that her performance at the 2024 Roots Picnic, which featured a remix of Trump’s slogan, was more a personal statement than a political endorsement.
She tweeted,
“It’s Sexyy Red 4 President. I’m my own candidate. I’m not endorsing anybody period.”
