As the old saying goes, “If at first you don’t succeed, try, try again.”

On Wednesday (Aug. 21) Kylie Jenner is launching a new swim collection via her growing clothing line, Khy. The 27-year-old has already previewed some of the pieces on her Instagram to her nearly 400 million followers. In one image, Kylie Jenner smizes at the camera while wearing a satin cut-out one piece. In the second look, she rocks a satin double-strap blue bikini.

Kylie Jenner’s debut collection from Khy was released in November 2023. However, the upcoming swim pieces will mark the second time the fashion company released swimwear, following a few pieces that dropped earlier this summer. Extending the Khy brand into the swim scene is seemingly Jenner’s attempt at correcting the narrative surrounding her pulled 2021 company, Kylie Swim. In case you missed the controversy, Jenner was slammed by countless customers over the alleged low quality of the items they purchased from Kylie Swim.

Jenner also faced criticism over complaints that the swim items didn’t offer enough coverage and were see-through. One person who reviewed the pieces on TikTok had to wear a black onesie under the one-piece suit so her private areas would not show. She said during her video,

“How is this supposed to work? … I think the cut of it is very unique and cool but I think if I move an inch, you’re going to see everything. Also, the fabric is very obviously see-through.”

Only time will tell if Jenner listened to the complaints from her supporters before dipping her toe back into the swimwear business. However, on a positive note, the new pieces coming to her company fall on the affordable side, with times ranging from $34 on the low end, to $78 on the high.
