As you may recall Keith Lee, who went viral for his food reviews and now boasts more than 16 million followers on his Tik Tok alone, trended earlier this year as many tapped into his critical discussion of Atlanta’s food industry. Now, it appears the 27-year-old recently embarked on another food tour, this time trying different eateries across the DMV area.

After leaving Virginia, Keith Lee went to the U.S. capital and started his review of D.C. criticizing restaurants for heavily pushing alcohol. He stated:

“It’s been very hard to find restaurants in my opinion. All the restaurants are geared directly towards alcohol. If you don’t drink, it seem like it’s slim pickings.”

Sharing some of the advertisements for “bottomless” and other drink deals he’s come across, he continued:

“I don’t’ drink…so…I’m hungry.”

As far as the food itself goes, Keith Lee visited a restaurant called Cane that he seemed to enjoy ok, but also appeared to be a little underwhelmed. The content creator rated items such as the eatery’s jerk chicken, whole snapper, and peas and rice in the upper 7s, stating:

“Everything in my opinion is right above average, but right below really really good,”

Reacting to Lee’s visit, some social media users criticized his opinion, arguing that he didn’t go to “the right” places and get the full scope of D.C.’s gems. Others, however, vehemently agreed with Lee’s points and doubled down on his claims that the city’s food scene is lacking.
