Internet Personality Rolling Ray Calls Out TikTok Food Critic Keith Lee Over Criticism Of D.C. Area Restaurants

Rolling Ray is not here for what Keith Lee had to say about the D.C. area food scene.

On Tuesday (Aug. 27) rising internet personality Rolling Ray got a few things off his chest regarding TikTok food critic Keith Lee’s honest opinion on his recent time in Washington, D.C.

Kicking off his posts, Rolling Ray said,

“Imma speak tf up for my city because no, Keith Lee got us real bad messed up! Me & Keith talked on the phone for about 5’mins & I personally texted him restaurants that is worth his time & could really use the business. He hasn’t visited either one yet. He’s randomly going places”

The D.C. native added,

“I just feel as though since I’m born & raised in DC I could honestly give him some good spots to check out. But the bad press he’s been giving my city is not giving what’s supposed to be gave! & honestly we appreciate you coming but don’t play on our time like our food trash!”

Ray’s remarks follow a TikTok video Keith Lee posted on Monday (Aug. 26) explaining why he decided to scrap the majority of the food reviews he filmed while in D.C.

According to Lee, he went to roughly 12 different restaurants in Washington but only posted 3 reviews because most of his commentary was just criticism and not constructive. Noting issues with one of the places he didn’t post full commentary about, Lee said,

“The smell of this… insane! It smells like shellfish, it smells like frozen fish. It smells almost inedible.”

Lee also noted how the unposted restaurants had “unprofessional” service, and one worker even packaged his food without washing their hands after dealing with money or wearing gloves.
