Simone Biles Wants ‘Justice’ For Jordan Chiles After Teammate Is Stripped Of Olympic Bronze Medal: ‘It’s Truly A Shame’
Simone Biles is sharing her support for her Olympic teammate Jordan Chiles.
During a recent interview, Simone Biles, 27, spoke on how she’s looking out for Jordan Chiles following the craziness of Chiles’ bronze medal being stripped. The 11-time Olympic medalist shared that she’s been in contact with the 23-year-old via text and FaceTime to keep her spirits uplifted.

Simone expressed,
Mentioning that Jordan Chiles is “still that girl,” Simone Biles spoke on her friend’s performance at the 2024 Paris Olympics and said,
“We saw what you did. And it’s an unfortunate circumstance because something like this has never happened before and it’s truly a shame, but we wish all three girls could get the medal and unfortunately in gymnastics that’s not the case.”

Biles continued,
“Do we think they did the correct procedures to come to this ruling? No. That’s really why we want that justice for Jordan and why we’re going to keep supporting her and uplifting her.”
In the interview, Biles admitted to sending Chiles posts from social media to remind her of the support that she has, amid the athlete taking a break from the internet. One of the posts included Flavor Flav’s bronze clock necklace that he exclusively made for Chiles in the wake of the controversy.

As previously reported, the fight over the bronze medal began after the Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS) ruled in favor of two Romanian gymnasts (Ana Barbosu and Sabrina Maneca-Voinea), who had protested Chiles’ score in the floor final, claiming her coach submitted the score inquiry four seconds late. The change in score placed Chiles in third, initially earning her a bronze medal.
However, following an appeal from The Romanian Gymnastics Federation, the medal was reallocated to Barbosu. Although USA Gymnastics appealed the ruling with evidence that Chiles’ coach was within the allotted time requirement, CAS still denied their filing.
USA Gymnastics is fighting for the 3rd place honor to be restored to Chiles.
