Update: Druski Pokes Fun At Rubi Rose Claiming Their Relationship Was A Publicity Stunt
Update: (Sep. 17, 2024): Druski doesn’t appear to be too bothered by Rubi Rose claiming he paid for her time.
Reacting to Rubi Rose’s X posts where she said their entire relationship was just one big publicity stunt, Druski shared a meme of the 2003 remake of Love Don’t Cost a Thing. However, in place of Nick Cannon, who starred in the film alongside Christina Milian, Druski photoshopped in his own face.
As you may already know, Love Don’t Cost a Thing (a remake of the 1987 film Can’t Buy Me Love) is a coming-of-age teenage love story that centers around Alvin Johnson (Nick Cannon) posing as the boyfriend of Paris Morgan (Christina Milian) in exchange of repairing her mother’s vehicle that she damaged. However, over time they develop real feelings for one another.
It’s unclear if this was Druski’s way of telling us things between him and Rubi Rose became more serious at some point. Or if it was just his way of laughing off the allegations.
Original Story: (Sep. 17, 2024): Seems like Rubi Rose’s relationship with Druski wasn’t real after all.
The rapper took to her X account (formerly Twitter) moments ago and claimed that they never actually dated, and instead, Druski, 30, paid her to act as his girlfriend as a publicity stunt. Kicking off the wild confession, she wrote,
“And for the record i never slept with that man, n*gg* paid for PR. Not the p*ssy”
However, despite the (alleged) nature of their relationship, Rubi Rose, 26, did say that the internet comedian is “funny and nice tho!” Making it extra clear that they never slept together, she added,
“I only give it up if I’m in love, ion care how much money a n*gg* got. I’m rich asf lol”
As reported, Rubi Rose and Druski first went public with their (fake?) relationship in late April. They shared a few images and videos online appearing to really be enjoying each other’s company. However, the romance portrayed to the public was short-lived and in July Druski confirmed they were no longer an item. At the time, the media personality claimed,
“[There wasn’t] nothing bad that happened. We just, you know – she’s a beautiful girl. She’s doing great in life, man. She’s making money, I’m doing the same… I learned that when you got a bad b*tch, you can’t really…when you have a beautiful woman, of that caliber…it comes with a lot.”
Rubi Rose’s side of things, however, makes it look more like Druski stopped making payments on the girlfriend package deal he was offered. Yikes!
