Kanye West Sued By Security Guard Who Claims He Never Received A Paycheck While Working For The Rapper
Kanye West is facing a new lawsuit.
Documents obtained by TMZ reveal that a man named Jonathan Monroe is taking legal action against the “Vultures” artist, accusing him of wage theft and wrongful termination.
The plaintiff says he was hired by Kanye West in August 2021 to guard his multi-million dollar Malibu mansion. You may recall that the rapper made headlines over the property for completely gutting and abandoning it.

Monroe alleges he was promised $30 an hour for the gig and says he worked 36 – 50 hours per week before being abruptly terminated in October 2021.
According to Monroe, he had not seen a single paycheck by that point and Kanye West only fired him because he began asking about payment. The Grammy winner sold the property for $21 million earlier this year, while Monroe claims he still hasn’t been compensated for his time working for the rap star.
He’s reportedly suing for backpay plus interest, as well as an undisclosed amount in punitive damages.
