Kate Gosselin ‘Hurting For Money’ & Struggling To Secure Work In Reality TV Amid Abuse Claims, Sources Say
TV mom Kate Gosselin is allegedly facing some financial hardships.
A source familiar with the reality star claimed that her money is running low and that she could potentially lose her home as her opportunities for work in the entertainment industry have significantly shrunk.
The source shared with In Touch:
“[Kate] doesn’t date or socialize with friends. Even her nursing job that paid her a fraction of what she made on Kate Plus 8 didn’t pan out…She’s hurting for money and facing the very real possibility of having to sell her house in North Carolina.”
They continued:
“She’s still trying to get a new reality show, but doors aren’t opening for her, especially now that she’s been painted a lunatic mom who zip-tied and locked her son in the basement room…No one would be surprised if she started begging for handouts.”
As we covered earlier this month, Kate Gosselin came under fire after her 20-year-old son Collin Gosselin detailed the alleged abuse he endured under his mother’s care.
The sextuplets accused his mom of wrongfully committing him to mental institutions as a child because of her own frustrations with life. He also claimed she used to keep him “zip-tied” by the hands and feet in the basement for multiple days at a time on some occasions.
The source went on to attribute Kate Gosselin’s current struggles to her past actions, telling the outlet:
“The feeling is if she were a nicer person, nice things would come her way, but she’s not and karma’s kicking her in the butt.”
