Simone Biles Doubles Down On Defending Husband Jonathan Owens’ Comments About Being ‘The Catch’: ‘I’m Gonna Come At You’
One thing Simone Biles doesn’t play about her is man!
In the second part of her new Netflix series “Simone Biles Rising,” the superstar gymnast, 27, continued to defend her husband Jonathan Owens’ viral comments about being “the catch” in their relationship, stating about the matter:
“Social media gives [followers] this false sense of reality that they really know who you are and how you function…Most of the time they don’t understand the mental toll that it takes, especially going into an Olympic year.”
The 7x gold medalist furthered that her hubby’s comments on “The Pivot” podcast last year were “taken out of context,” adding:
“I know we signed up to be judged in the gym but when you guys are going to talk about him or my family, yeah, I’m gonna come at you guys.”
Jonathan Owens’, 29, remarks blew up on social media following the interview as users reacted to the Chicago Bears player claiming he didn’t even know who Biles was when they matched on dating app Raya back in 2020.
While many urged Simone Biles to leave her marriage, the champion athlete has continued to support her husband amid the controversy, insisting that she isn’t going anywhere.
