Elon Musk Drops $35 Million On Family Compound For His 11 Children & Their Mothers

Billionaire Tesla founder Elon Musk is spending the bread to keep his family close together.

According to The New York Times, the 53-year-old made a $35 million real estate purchase in Austin Texas securing two properties. One includes a 14,400-square-foot mansion and a six-bedroom home directly behind it. He also allegedly purchased another home within short walking distance of the others.

Elon Musk reportedly hopes to have his 11 children and at least two of their mothers move onto the property, though NYT reports that only Shivon Zilis, the Neuralink executive who welcomed three of his children via in vitro fertilization, has moved to the compound thus far.

The X CEO also shares 5 sons with his first wife Justine Elon Musk, and three children with his ex-girlfriend, Canadian pop star Grimes. It’s noted in one report that Grimes and Musk remain in a custody battle over their kids.

To show his seriousness about the deal, Musk reportedly offered up to 70% more than what the homes would’ve sold for on the market and required the sellers to sign NDAs.

While Musk has been very vocal about the need for people to have more children to combat the staggering birth decline, it does not appear he’s spoken publicly about the large purchase at this time.
