TikTok Influencer Marlena Velez Arrested For Second Theft At Same Target
TikTok influencer Marlena Velez is facing new legal troubles after being arrested for the second time in connection with shoplifting from the same Target store in Cape Coral, Florida.
Velez, 22, who has over 400,000 followers and often posts about her life as a mom, first made headlines last month when she was accused of stealing over $500 worth of goods on October 30. Her arrest was partly due to a TikTok she shared that day, which included her outfit matching the one seen in store surveillance footage.

On November 20, Velez allegedly struck again, this time using a phony barcode to pay for $225 worth of items at the self-checkout. She was identified through security footage and details like her phone’s wallpaper, which matched photos from her Instagram.
Police reportedly noted that a man with a distinctive arm tattoo—featured in some of her TikToks—was also present during the theft.
Outside of the Target robberies, Velez’s criminal history includes a 2019 grand theft auto arrest at age 17 and a shoplifting incident at a Walmart earlier this year.
The influencer has reportedly since deleted many of the incriminating TikTok videos and her account is now set to private.
