Kevin Hunter Slams Wendy Williams’ Guardian For Allegedly ‘Practicing Law Without A License’ In Their Divorce Case
Wendy Williams’ ex-husband, Kevin Hunter, has filed a legal complaint against Wendy’s guardian, Sabrina Morrissey, accusing her of practicing law without a license in their ongoing divorce case in New Jersey.
In a motion filed in October, Kevin argued that Sabrina has been improperly representing herself as Wendy’s guardian, stating:
“Ms. Morrissey is not and has not been legally appointed as Guardian of my ex-wife in New Jersey. Yet, Ms. Morrissey has filed motions, cross motions, and responses to motions, as well as testified in court in a jurisdiction where she has no legal standing.”
He added:
“Ms. Morrissey is practicing law without a license in the State of New Jersey.”

According to Kevin, Sabrina’s temporary guardianship is limited to New York, which, if true, would mean she should not have been filing motions or testifying in court in New Jersey.
In response, Sabrina fired back, saying:
“[I was] appointed Temporary Guardian for [Wendy] by Hon. Lisa A. Sokoloff in Supreme Court, New York County… I thereafter appeared pro se in place of [Wendy] in New Jersey litigation brought by Mr. Hunter to collect payment from [Wendy] in their previously settled divorce proceeding.”
Sabrina further stated:
“I have never appeared as an attorney in any court for my ward, Wendy Williams Hunter.”
The legal dispute arises amid broader financial disagreements between Kevin and Wendy. Kevin has sought to overturn their divorce settlement, alleging that Wendy concealed $48 million from him during the proceedings.
Meanwhile, Wendy’s guardian disputes these claims, asserting that Hunter was fully informed and satisfied with the original settlement.
