Erica Mena Says She Owes Nicki Minaj An Apology For Allowing Safaree Samuels To Spread Lies About Her

Erica Mena is seeking to make amends with Nicki Minaj.

During a recent appearance on the Dumb Blonde Podcast, –hosted by Jelly Roll’s wife, Bunnie XO — Erica confessed,

“I owe this woman [Nicki Minaj] an apology because I sat there and allowed him to talk about her to me. From that came me saying things, defending and vouching for him, and speaking up on her in a way that was tacky, because at the end of the day… I didn’t know the truth.”

Erica also shared that Safaree went around the industry showing unflattering videos of Nicki Minaj and often painted her as a “crazy ex,” but she never took the time to question the role he might have played in their tumultuous relationship.

Safaree and Nicki dated during the early years of her career before he went on to marry Erica Mena, with whom he shares two children. The two are now divorced.
