‘Basketball Wives’ Alum Brittish Williams Loses Appeal To Overturn 4-Year Prison Sentence In Fraud Case
Brittish Williams’ attempt to overturn her four-year prison sentence for fraud has been denied.
According to court documents obtained by In Touch, the U.S. Court of Appeals ruled, “The district court did not abuse its discretion” in considering her “celebrity” status during sentencing.
Her lawyer previously argued that she was treated unfairly due to her fame, but prosecutors dismissed the claim. The appeal was denied on December 31, confirming that Brittish will serve her sentence at Alderson FPC prison in West Virginia.
In October 2023, the “Basketball Wives” alum was sentenced to four years in prison, five years of supervised release, and ordered to pay $565,000 after pleading guilty to tax, bank, and wire fraud.
