Allison told PEOPLE:
“It was a really triggering moment for me because there were a lot of things I discovered in our closet that I did not know existed. It was very alarming to me to learn that there was so much happening that I had no clue [about].”
She continued:
“It was a really scary moment in my life to figure that out, but it also helped me process that he was going through so much, hiding so much, and there must have been a lot of shame in that.”
Holker, who had always believed she and tWitch had an honest relationship, said she was shocked and “alarmed” to learn about the depth of his struggles and the painful secrets he had kept hidden from her.
tWitch was closing out eight years as co-executive producer and longtime DJ on The Ellen DeGeneres Show at the time of his passing. The entertainer tragically died by $uicide at the age of 40 in 2022.
