Donald Trump Blasts California Governor Gavin Newsom Over L.A. Wildfires: ‘He Is To Blame For This’
President-elect Donald Trump is once again targeting California Governor Gavin Newsom, this time over the devastating wildfires ravaging Los Angeles.
Taking to Truth Social, Trump blasted Newsom for allegedly prioritizing the protection of an endangered fish species, the Delta smelt, over the critical water resources needed to fight the fires.

Trump, using his signature nickname “Newscum,” accused the governor of refusing to approve water flow from Northern California to assist in battling the flames, which he described as a “virtually apocalyptic” situation, writing:
“I will demand that this incompetent governor allow beautiful, clean, fresh water to FLOW INTO CALIFORNIA! He is the blame for this…A true disaster!”
The fires, which began on Tuesday, have led to evacuations of around 30,000 people, including high-profile residents like Mandy Moore and Whitney Cummings. Tragically, two people have lost their lives in the fire, although the cause of death has not yet been disclosed. As of now, Newsom’s office has not responded to Trump’s comments.
