#TJBThrowBack: August Alsina Checks ‘106 & Park’ Host Keshia Chanté For Asking Him About Trey Songz Feud
The internet is forever!
August Alsina’s infamous 2014 “106 & Park” interview has resurfaced, once again.
As you may recall, during the awkward exchange, August Alsina wasted no time putting host Keshia Chanté on blast for asking him about his then-beef with fellow singer Trey Songz, something he told production beforehand he didn’t want to address.

In a radio interview that took place later that year, August touched on the viral moment and said,
“I wasn’t mean. Here’s the thing, people get honesty and mean mixed up.”
He added,
“You can say that now, but if you put me in the position that’s how I felt. I went back to BET yesterday and that’s exactly what I said. She was like, ‘I didn’t mean to disrespect you’ and I was like, ‘well, it wasn’t my intention to disrespect you.’ But the thing was before this conversation, I felt how I felt and I spoke on how I felt and I don’t take back nothing that I said.”
It’s been years since that crazy moment, looking back, do you think August overreacted?
