Delta Airlines Flight Has Emergency Evacuation, Passengers Used Slides To Exit Plane w/ Some Suffering Minor Injuries
A few Delta passengers sustained non-serious injuries after their flight at Atlanta Airport was delayed, leading to an emergency evacuation via slides. ?
On the morning of January 9, around 9:10 a.m., the pilots of Flight 2668, a Boeing 757-300, called for an immediate evacuation due to an engine issue, prompting the crew to abort takeoff. The flight, which was scheduled to depart from Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport, was carrying about 201 passengers.
Flyers were evacuated via emergency slides and safely escorted back to the terminal. While Delta reported no injuries, Hartsfield-Jackson officials reportedly noted that four individuals sustained minor injuries. One person was transported for treatment, and the remaining three were treated on-site.
