LiAngelo Ball has sparked an interesting debate online.
News broke this morning (Jan. 13) that 26-year-old LiAngelo Ball inked a deal with Def Jam and Universal Music Group that’s reportedly worth $13 million, with $8 million guaranteed, thanks to the success of his debut single, Tweaker. It’s also been reported that the contract allows LiAngelo Ball to keep full ownership of his music and his own record label.

Despite the tune quickly becoming a fan favorite, gaining nearly 8 million views on YouTube as of this post, and landing at the No. 3 spot on trending songs on YouTube Music, many are debating if the hefty record deal came too soon.
