Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson Reflects On Losing His Dad, Urges Fans To Reconcile w/ Their Fathers
Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson is urging his followers to mend relationships with their fathers, sharing a deeply personal regret on the anniversary of his dad’s passing.
In a recent Instagram post, The Rock reflected on losing his father on January 15, 2020. He revealed they were not speaking at the time due to a fight on Christmas Eve, something he now deeply regrets:
“Wish I reconciled, but it was too late. What I’d give to have just 5 more minutes, to hug him hard, kiss his cheek and say, ‘I love you and we’re good.’”

Johnson encouraged his fans to avoid making the same mistake, writing,
“Whatever the issue, I strongly recommend you reconcile it and make it whole. You don’t want to live the alternative where it’s too late, and you wake up one morning and realize you have to write your dad’s eulogy.”
Ending with gratitude, he thanked his father for everything, adding,
“Thanks for the lessons, Soulman, and as you always said, the show must go on ??.”
