A$AP Rocky Turns Down Plea Deal On First Day Of Fire@rm A$$ault Trial

A$AP Rocky is standing his ground.

On the first day of his firearm assault trial in Los Angeles, the rapper rejected a plea deal offered by prosecutors. According to Rolling Stone’s Nancy Dillon, Rocky was offered three years of probation, a seven-year suspended prison sentence, and 180 days in county jail if he pleaded guilty to Count 1. His response?

“I respectfully decline, thank you.”

The trial stems from a November 2021 incident in Hollywood where Rocky allegedly fired a gun twice at his former friend, Terell Ephron, also known as A$AP Relli, after an argument. Rocky faces two felony counts of assault with a semiautomatic firearm and could serve up to 24 years in prison if convicted on all charges.

Would you have taken the deal if you were in Rocky’s shoes?
