2 Chainz Speaks On Being Mentioned In Kendrick Lamar’s ‘Not Like Us’: ‘I Didn’t Think He Was Taking A Shot At Me’
2 Chainz is addressing his name being dropped in Kendrick Lamar’s Drake diss track, “Not Like Us.”
During a recent appearance on The Breakfast Club, Charlamagne Tha God asked the College Park native, “Why did you lie to Drake about being good?”—referencing Kendrick’s lyric:
“2 Chainz said you good, but he lied.”
In response, 2 Chainz explained that he believes the line was just wordplay, stating:
“I just think it was kind of like some wordplay ’cause Drake and I got a song called No Lie.”

He added:
“I didn’t take it in any kind of way. I don’t think he was taking a shot at me.”
The rapper also pointed out that at that moment in the song, Kendrick seemed to be referencing multiple Atlanta artists who have collaborated with Drake.
