Looks like the rap beef between Nicki Minaj and Megan Thee Stallion has escalated to an adverse level.

Reports state that the burial place of Megan Thee Stallion’s late mother was shared online recently, prompting a preventative response from local police.

Megan Thee Stallion & mother Holly Thomas

In case you’re unfamiliar, Nicki Minaj and her loyal fan base, known as the Barbz, have been embroiled in a social media assault against Megan Thee Stallion over the past few days. The drama began after the Houston native, 28, seemingly dissed the self-proclaimed ‘queen of rap’ and her husband Kenneth Petty in her record “Hiss,” which was released over the weekend. In response, Minaj, 41, dropped her own track “Big Foot,” which accused Megan of “lying on her dead mother.”

Minaj referenced Megan’s late mother Holly Thomas, who reportedly passed of brain cancer back in 2019, several other times amid the beef – including when she accused her rap rival of sleeping with her stepfather following her mom’s demise. During a conversation on the streaming platform Stationhead, Minaj reportedly stated:

“You better go conjure up your mother and apologize. That’s disgusting.”

The remark seemed to have encouraged the Barbz to find and share the location of Thomas‘ grave online. Reportedly, one social media account posted the information with the caption “You know what to do.” Reps for the Texas graveyard subsequently told reporters that they have since made police aware of the situation and have added more personal security.

They did note, however, that nothing has happened as of yet. Though Megan herself has yet to issue any response to Minaj’s three days of ranting, she’s had several celebs come to her and her mother’s defense. Songstress Cheryl Lynn condemned all those engaging in anything hateful regarding the rapper’s mother, writing via her X account (formerly Twitter):

“This is beyond sick. y’all should be ashamed. There’s no rest when you interfere with the deceased.”

And followed up with:

“Never speak ill of the deceased, especially when they’re next to YOU.”

Charlamagne Tha God also chimed in, making clear his belief that there can be serious consequences for those speaking ill on the dead. During a recent episode of The Breakfast Club, the radio host declared Megan the winner of the beef, and blasted anyone planning on taking action against her late mother’s resting place. He stated:

“Older people will tell you don’t play with the dead. Ain’t no good gone come to anybody doing stuff like that. You have cursed yourself and don’t even know it…you let the deceased rest in peace and it’s all fun and games until you can’t sleep at night because you getting visited by those spirits you playing with…until nothing is going good in your life and you don’t know why…you better leave that alone,”

He added:

“Not to mention here in the physical world somebody will literally kill you, blow your brains out for playing with their loved one’s grave. Y’all gotta start moving with some common sense, some couth…what level of groupie a** stan are you that you would risk your life, your freedom for a celebrity. It makes no sense.”
