Snack Company MoonPie Mocks Trump’s ‘Gulf of America’ Rename By Rebranding Florida As ‘MoonPieTown’
Snack company MoonPie is having some fun with President Trump’s effort to rename the Gulf of Mexico as the Gulf of America.
Taking to their official X page, MoonPie announced their own playful renaming decision, posting:
“Thanks to recent geographical updates, we are excited to announce that the land mass previously known as Florida will now be referred to as MoonPieTown.”

The company continued the joke, dismissing any objections that Florida is a state, stating:
“We can just do this now!”
MoonPie’s post follows reports that the federal government has officially adopted Trump’s controversial directive to rename the Gulf of Mexico. Google Maps has already made the adjustment for U.S. users, now displaying Gulf of America on its platform.
