Bobby Brown Reveals New Edition Only Got $500 & A VCR From Their First Deal

Bobby Brown says New Edition’s first record deal wasn’t nearly as glamorous as people think.

In a new interview with Shannon Sharpe, the R&B legend revealed the group was only paid $500 and a VCR to sign. “Our royalty was like $1.68,” he said.
