Former Atlanta Mayor Keisha Lance Bottoms Takes Step To Run For Governor Of Georgia
A major move might be on the way from Keisha Lance Bottoms.
The former Atlanta mayor revealed on Instagram that she’s taken an “important administrative step” toward running for governor of #Georgia by filing the necessary paperwork to form a campaign committee. “I am honored and humbled by the encouragement I have received as I have considered running for Governor,” she wrote.
“I look forward to making an announcement in the coming weeks,” she added.

Keisha Lance Bottoms, who served as the 60th mayor of Atlanta from 2018 to 2022, first entered city government as a member of the Atlanta City Council, representing part of Southwest Atlanta.
