“Sinners” holds strong at No. 1 for a second week, earning another $45 million domestically after a $48 million debut and $163.2 million worldwide.
The 1930s-set vampire thriller—starring Michael B. Jordan, Wunmi Mosaku, Jack O’Connell, Delroy Lindo, and Hailee Steinfeld—blends passion, family, folklore, and Black culture in the rich Delta Blues era.
“It wasn’t just one thing,” Jordan told VIBE of the film, directed by Ryan Coogler. “You find yourself laughing… crying… jumping…The music element…is amazing.”
