French President Emmanuel Macron Responds After Video Of His Wife Shoving His Face Goes Viral: ‘The Videos Are All Real […] But People Are Attributing All Kinds Of Nonsense To Them’
Emmanuel Macron is downplaying the viral video of his wife shoving him in the face.
While speaking to reporters in Hanoi, the French president confirmed the moment was real but said it wasn’t a big deal:
“There’s a video showing me joking and teasing my wife and somehow that becomes a sort of geo-planetary catastrophe, with people even coming up with theories to explain it.”

He added,
“The videos are all real, and yes, sometimes people tamper with them, but people are attributing all kinds of nonsense to them.”
In the clip, the couple is seen exiting a plane in Vietnam when Brigitte suddenly presses her hand against Macron’s face. He looks surprised but quickly regains his composure and waves to the crowd.
