DeMarcus Cousins Suspended From Puerto Rican Basketball League After Heated Exchange w/ Fans
DeMarcus Cousins is out…
The former NBA star, who’s been playing for Mets de Guaynabo in Puerto Rico’s Baloncesto Superior Nacional, has been suspended for the rest of the season and fined $4,250 after an incident involving fans.
Viral footage showed Cousins getting into it with a fan sitting courtside, and things nearly turned physical. On his way to the locker room, other fans threw drinks at him, which led to even more chaos.

While the fans’ behavior appeared aggressive, the league made it clear that physically confronting them wouldn’t be tolerated. They cited a “disqualifying foul, a technical foul, and acts that incite violence or provocation.”
