Billboard’s 2025 list of the Top 75 R&B artists of all time was recently released, placing some of music’s greatest legends front and center!
Stevie Wonder takes the crown as the No.?1 R&B artist of all time, a true powerhouse of musicianship. Aretha Franklin comes next, dubbed the Queen of Soul, with over 75 million records sold worldwide. Michael Jackson, the King of Pop, who also defined crossover R&B, lands at No.?3. His Thriller remains the best-selling album ever.

Beyoncé lands at No.?4 on the list, a genre-redefining force with the most Grammy wins for any artist, and a career spanning Destiny’s Child to solo superstardom. Whitney Houston, the iconic vocalist who delivered seven consecutive No.?1 singles, rounds out the top five.
Filling out the elite top 10 are other heavyweights like James Brown (No. 6), Prince (No.?7), Mariah Carey (No.?8), R.?Kelly (No.?9), and Marvin Gaye (No.?10), each leaving an undeniable mark on R&B.
