Oprah Winfrey continues to make history, this time by landing at No. 34 on Forbes’ first-ever global list of the 50 Richest Self-Made Women on Earth!
The media powerhouse and mogul is estimated to be worth $3.1 billion, holding her place among some of the most influential female entrepreneurs worldwide. The list, which spans 13 countries across four continents, marks a major moment for women in business.
Oprah made her fortune through her iconic TV career, Harpo Productions, OWN Network, and investments in companies like WeightWatchers and AppleTV+. She joins a lineup of major women breaking barriers and building billion-dollar empires from the ground up.

At the top of the list is Rafaela Aponte-Diamant, an 80-year-old shipping magnate from Switzerland, with a staggering $38.8 billion. She’s followed by American businesswoman Diane Hendricks ($22.3B) and Chinese pharmaceutical mogul Zhong Huijuan ($15.6B).
Other recognizable names include Melanie Perkins (Canva cofounder, $5.8B), Judy Faulkner (healthcare tech pioneer, $7.8B), Sheryl Sandberg (former Meta exec, $2.4B), and Meg Whitman (former eBay CEO, $3.8B).
The top 50 are worth a combined $276 billion, with the tech sector leading the way as the most common source of wealth.
