Monica Lewinsky Admits She Loved Bill Clinton But Calls Their Affair An ‘Abuse Of Power’ + Slams ‘Bimbo’ Narrative
Monica Lewinsky has revealed she did love Bill Clinton during their infamous affair, but now views it as an “abuse of power.”
Speaking on Elizabeth Day’s “How to Fail” podcast, Lewinsky said, “It was 22 to 24-year-old young woman’s love. I think there was some limerence there… but that’s how I saw it then.”
She recalled how the White House crafted a “bimbo” narrative about her, despite her accomplishments.
“I wasn’t a dumb bimbo… I worked at the Pentagon and traveled the world. That portrayal was a big struggle for me,” she said.
Lewinsky added, “Often by other women,” the negative image was pushed, but ultimately “that was a narrative… put out by the White House.”
