Trump Says He Never Had The ‘Privilege’ Of Going To Jeffrey Epstein’s Island: ‘In One Of My Very Good Moments, I Turned It Down’
Donald Trump is attempting to distance himself from late child sex offender Jeffrey Epstein, and now says that skipping a trip to Epstein’s island was actually one of his “very good moments.”
“I never had the privilege of going to his island, and I did turn it down,” Trump told reporters Monday (July 28) during a press conference with U.K. Prime Minister Keir Starmer. “In one of my very good moments, I turned it down. I didn’t want to go to his island.”

Addressing how he fell out with Epstein years ago, he said, “For years, I wouldn’t talk to Jeffrey Epstein. He did something that was inappropriate. […] He stole people that work for me. I said, ‘Don’t ever do that again.’ He did it again… and I threw him out of the place. Persona non grata. I threw him out, and that was it.”
The comments come as pressure continues to mount over the administration’s handling of the Epstein files.
