Halle Berry & Djimon Hounsou To Star In Africa-Set Trafficking Thriller ‘Red Card’
Halle Berry and Djimon Hounsou are teaming up for a new film tackling trafficking across Africa.
The two actors will lead Red Card, a crime thriller set between Kenya and Morocco. Hounsou plays Max Elmi, a ranger fighting poachers in the Maasai Mara who is forced to partner with international law enforcement after his teenage son, an aspiring soccer star, is lured into North Africa’s criminal underworld by a sports agent. Berry stars as Amanda Bruckner, an FBI supervisor leading the special ops team tasked with bringing trafficking rings to justice.
The film is inspired by true events and is endorsed by the National Centre for Missing & Exploited Children.
Filming begins later this year.
