Johnny Depp Could Return As Jack Sparrow In ‘Pirates Of The Caribbean 6,’ Says Producer
Johnny Depp could be returning as Jack Sparrow.
Franchise producer Jerry Bruckheimer told Entertainment Weekly that he has spoken with Depp about a potential sixth “Pirates of the Caribbean” movie. Bruckheimer said, “If he likes the way the part’s written, I think he would do it. It’s all about what’s on the page, as we all know. We are still working on a screenplay. We want to make it. We just have to get the right screenplay. We haven’t quite gotten there yet, but we’re close.”

Depp starred in five “Pirates” films from 2003 to 2017, which have collectively grossed over $4.5 billion worldwide.
Alongside talks of Depp’s return, Disney is also developing a reboot starring Margot Robbie. Bruckheimer clarified there is room for both projects: “I think Disney agrees they really want to make the Margot one, too.”
