Teyana Taylor On How Motherhood Changed What She’s Willing To Accept: ‘I’m Not Playing w/ Y’all, My Tolerance Is Different’
Teyana Taylor is opening up about motherhood.
In an interview with In Style, the singer reflected on how having two kids made her rethink her grind and what she’s willing to tolerate.
She said,
“My grind is different, my hustle is different. Like, I’m not playing with y’all, my tolerance is different, what I’m willing to take and not willing to take — you get what I’m saying? Motherhood is what made me start to pour more into the other things that I love to do and also to help other people.”
Teyana, who shares two daughters with her ex-husband Iman Shumpert, explained that this mindset shift led her to step back from music after her December 2020 retirement announcement and focus more on acting and other passions.
