Denzel Washington Says He’s ‘Tired Of Movies’ After Starring In Over 50 Films
Denzel Washington is opening up about his relationship with film, admitting he no longer watches movies despite his legendary career on screen.
While appearing in a video for GQ with “Highest 2 Lowest” director Spike Lee and co-star A$AP Rocky, Washington explained his stance.
“I don’t watch movies, man. I really don’t,” he said. “I’m just being honest with you! I don’t watch movies! I don’t go to the movies. I don’t watch movies. … I’m tired of movies.”
When Lee asked how many movies he had been in, Washington replied, “Too many. I think 50.”
Since his 1981 debut in “Carbon Copy,” he has gone on to win two Oscars for “Glory” and “Training Day.”
Despite critical acclaim, Washington is all done with watching the big screen.
