YSL Attorney Kayla Bumpus & Defendant Shannon Stillwell Expecting Baby Boy After Falling In Love During Trial: ‘True Atlanta Love Story’
Kayla Bumpus, a criminal defense attorney who was heavily involved in the YSL trial, and Shannon Stillwell, who faced charges in the same case, revealed they are now expecting a baby boy this October.
They wrote on a blog, “While our roles were very different, we are thankful that our worlds collided.”
Bumpus briefly represented Lil’ Woody during a 2024 ex-parte meeting with Judge Ural Glanville, which ultimately led to Glanville being removed from the case.
Stillwell was found not guilty of m*rder, RICO, and criminal street gang activity in December. The jury only convicted him on one g*n charge, and he was sentenced to 10 years with 2 to serve. With credit for time served, he left court a free man, with the remainder of his sentence on probation.
