Academy Award Winner Emma Stone Waited Hours In ‘Freezing Cold’ To See “RHOSLC” Alum Jen Shah During Sentencing For Fraud Charges
Would you wait hours in the cold just for a chance to see your fav celeb in person?
#EmmaStone absolutely would. The acclaimed actress revealed to W Magazine just how far she went to catch a glimpse of Real Housewives of Salt Lake City alum #JenShah during the reality star’s 2023 sentencing. Calling herself a devoted fan of the series, the Oscar winner admitted, “I am really invested” in #RHOSLC. Recalling the moment, Emma shared, “When Jen Shah was getting sentenced in New York, my brother and I waited outside for two hours in the freezing cold just for a chance to see her.” She added, “Her getting arrested on camera was wild.”
Jen was arrested in March 2021 on federal charges tied to a nationwide telemarketing fraud scheme that prosecutors said targeted thousands of elderly and vulnerable victims. She later pleaded guilty to conspiracy to commit wire fraud and was sentenced on January 6, 2023, to 78 months (6½ years) in federal prison. Her sentence was later reduced multiple times for good behavior and participation in prison programs, leading to her early release on Dec. 10, 2025, after serving roughly 33 months at the Federal Prison Camp in Bryan, Texas.
